Cookie policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work the same way. Under Section 25 TDDDG, storing them needs your consent unless they are strictly necessary for a service you explicitly asked for.
What we use
Freevy uses only strictly necessary cookies, so there is no consent banner. There are no analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and no third party sets cookies on this site. We do not use local storage. The web snippet manager keeps decryption keys only in the memory of the open tab.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| freevy-session | Keeps you signed in while you use the site. Contains only a random session identifier. | 120 minutes after your last activity, or until you close the browser |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms against forged requests from other websites. | Same as the session |
| remember_web_* | Keeps you signed in across browser restarts. Set only if you tick "Keep me signed in". | Up to 400 days, or until you sign out |
Legal basis: Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG, and Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR for the data in them.
Managing cookies
Signing out removes the sign-in cookies. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block them, you can still read the site but cannot sign in. Help pages: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari.
Changes
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
