Download Freevy
For Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). The installer needs no admin rights and adds the .NET 10 Desktop Runtime and WebView2 if your PC does not have them yet.
Version 1.0.8 · 13.4 MB · Oct 21, 2026
Freevy updates itself in the background. Your snippets stay on your PC; an account for sync is optional.
Windows may say the publisher is unknown, because the installer is not code-signed. Choose More info, then Run anyway. The source is public; see how to verify a release, or the VirusTotal scan of this exact installer.
Check the download
Compare the checksum of the file you downloaded with the one below. If they differ, the download is damaged or not ours: delete it and download again.
- SHA-256 (Freevy-win-Setup.exe)
-
AC29CC7ACDF99AC73E5E070CF8EBBF117AD3AE7FC004EF11BB37171D8F43BF53 - MD5 (only shows the file is not damaged; use SHA-256 to check it was not changed)
-
A72164923B6371828F606B74386E8AE6
In PowerShell, in the folder you saved it to:
Get-FileHash .\Freevy-win-Setup.exe Get-FileHash .\Freevy-win-Setup.exe -Algorithm MD5
Also as a plain file: SHA256SUMS. Updates inside the app are checked against their checksums automatically before they install.
- Run the installer. Freevy starts in the tray and from now on with Windows (you can turn that off in Settings).
- Using Breevy or aBreevy8 today? Quit it first so abbreviations are not expanded twice. Freevy imports your Breevy library on first start.
- Optional: set a master password to protect password snippets, and sign in under Sync & account to sync between your computers.
- Freevy follows your Windows language (English, Turkish or German); you can change it in Settings.
